Labour's Lynch elected in Cork North Central

Labour's Kathleen Lynch was elected in Cork North Central overnight.

Fianna Fáil's Billy Kelleher, Fine Gael's Dara Murphy and Sinn Féin's Jonathan O'Brien took the other three seats in the constituency.

Speaking last night after she was elected, Deputy Lynch said: "In the event that we do negotiate a programme for Government, I think it's about remembering what the people are saying to us (which is): We're in a mess. Here are the numbers. Get us out of it."
