Glennon: Election was 'Armageddon' for Fianna Fáil

Fianna Fáil face tough road of rebuilding ahead for the party, according to a former TD Jim Glennon, who described the election as "Armageddon".

"It’s a date that will go down in the annals of Fianna Fáil as being Armageddon," he admitted.

"The only point that I would make in relation to it is that hopefully it is the trigger for the reaction, the positive reaction that’s needed to rebuild the party, but Fianna Fáil people need patience and they need a lot of patience before this reconstruction job is done."
