A WWII-era shell found in the Faythe area of Wexford town was made safe this afternoon by the Army Bomb Disposal unit.

A WWII-era shell found in the Faythe area of Wexford town was made safe this afternoon by the Army Bomb Disposal unit.

The shell was described as inert, having no explosive content.

It was removed by the bomb disposal team and the scene declared safe at 4.30pm.
