Cork man seriously injured after assault

A man in his 20s sustained serious injuries after an assault in Cork City last night.

Shortly after 1am the man was attacked and beaten at Ard Cullen in Knocknaheeney on the North side of the city.

He is being treated for his injuries at Cork University Hospital.
