Man charged in England with murder of Offaly man
A man has been charged in England in connection with the murder of a man in Co Offaly almost eight years ago.
Paul Ryan (aged 27) from Dublin was found dead in a gateway at Coolderry in Birr on April 12, 2003. He had been shot a number of times.
A 45-year-old man has already been charged in connection with the incident and as a result of an ongoing investigation, a 37-year-old man was arrested in Kent in England on foot of a European Arrest Warrant.
He has appeared before a court in London and was remanded in custody to appear again at the end of the month.
