Searches have resumed for a man who was seen entering the River Corrib in Galway yesterday evening.

Searches have resumed for a man who was seen entering the River Corrib in Galway yesterday evening.

A member of the public raised the alarm at about 5pm.

The Irish Coastguard and Galway Lifeboat, along with the Shannon-based Irish Rescue Helicopter, searched the river in vain for over three hours yesterday.
