Teachers' union votes to oppose work placement scheme

The primary teachers' union the INTO has decided to oppose the Government's new work placement programme, which will see unemployed teachers working for free in schools.

The union held a special conference earlier in which members of the union voted overwhelmingly to oppose this new scheme.
