The two people discharged from hospital just over 24 hours after yesterday's plane crash in Cork have thanked the emergency services for their swift action, while the grieving mother of the young co-pilot killed in the crash has described her son as “an all-action hero”.

The two people discharged from hospital just over 24 hours after yesterday's plane crash in Cork have thanked the emergency services for their swift action, while the grieving mother of the young co-pilot killed in the crash has described her son as “an all-action hero”.

Donal Walsh and Laurence Wilson, in a statement issued through the HSE, said had it not been for Gardaí, fire and ambulance crews, the loss of life would have been greater.
