FG to halve number of ministerial cars if elected

Fine Gael has said it will halve the number of ministerial cars and replace Garda drivers with civilians if elected.

The party will also phase out the use of State cars for former Taoisigh and Presidents, it announced today.

Fine Gael would also use the Government jets only when no cheaper alternative is available.
