Labour leader Eamon Gilmore has said the risk to 300 jobs at Permanent TSB reflected the current state of the economy.

It is reported the bank, which employs 1,900 people, is set to announce the redundancies tomorrow as part of a restructuring programme, and also plans to raise mortgage interest rates by 1%.
