Brothers charged with possession of machine gun
Two brothers have appeared before Limerick District Court charged with possession of a machine gun.
Darren Cuneen (aged 34), from Clare Street, Limerick and 19-year-old Jason Cuneen, from Hospital, Co Limerick, are accused of having a Sten Mark 3 machine gun in Drumleek, Castlebellingham, Co Louth on January 19 this year.
Both men applied for bail today however, the court heard that the matter would have to be dealt with in Co Louth.
The two accused were remanded in custody to appear before Drogheda District Court this Friday.
