Health experts to visit scene of Kildare fire

Public health and environmental health staff are due to visit the scene of a fire at a landfill in Co Kildare today.

It has been burning at the Kerdiffstown site since last week.

The HSE has advised householders in the path of the smoke from the fire to close their doors and windows as a precaution.

However, tests on the air quality in the area so far indicate there has been no breach of safety standards.
