Offaly woman wins $21.5m New York lottery jackpot

An Offaly woman has won the New York Lottery, worth $21.5m (€15.8m).
Patricia Daily Eisel, originally from Tullamore, won the jackpot with an $8 (€5.80) ticket.
Forty-year-old Patricia, a mum of three boys aged nine, seven and four, discovered that she had the winning numbers while in a laundrette.
Currently living in Long Beach, she says she will buy a home and give up her job as a waitress.
Patricia, who emigrated to New York more than 10 years ago, had planned to spend Christmas in Offaly but was prevented from doing so because of snow storms in the US.
