Judge jails Cork man for seven years for rape

A Cork man who raped a woman while she slept on his couch after an evening out socialising has been sentenced to seven years.

John Cronin (aged 31) had pleaded not guilty at the Central Criminal Court to raping the woman on August 4, 2007 at his home at Barrett’s Buildings, Gurranebraher, Cork.
