The Tánaiste said today that she is focusing on saving as many jobs as possible at Gallagher's Bakery in Ardara, Co Donegal and providing training and support for those who have been laid off.

Minister Mary Coughlan met with the bosses of the company and with Udaras Na Gaeltachta last night to consider the fall-out from the announcement of 124 job losses at the plant on Wednesday.

Speaking to Ocean FM, the Tánaiste insists the fresh bread facility which continues to operate at the plant is viable.
