Valentia Coastguard join search for swimmer off Cork coast

A major search operation is underway in Cork harbour for a missing fisherman.

Valentia Coastguard got the distress call shortly after 10.30am this morning after a lobster fishing boat sank.

One fisherman managed to swim ashore, while the second man is still missing.

A helicopter from Waterford has been requested along with lifeboats and coastguard boats.

Navy divers are also at the scene.
