ESRI predicts 1,000 people a week will leave Ireland

The ESRI is forecasting that 100,000 people will have left Ireland during the two years to April 2012 - equating to around a thousand people per week.

The think tank also said the rate of unemployment will remain high over the next two years, averaging 13.5% this year, and 13% in 2012.
