Gardaí in Cork investigating the murder of Gerard Staunton a year ago have seized ammunition, phones, documentation and computers.

Gardaí in Cork investigating the murder of Gerard Staunton a year ago have seized ammunition, phones, documentation and computers.

The items were seized during a number of raids earlier today.

Six people - five men and a woman - were also arrested in connection with the murder of the convicted drug dealer in Wilton last January.

They are being held under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act various Garda stations in Cork.

The Real IRA claimed the killing at the time.

Gardai are also appealing to anyone with any information to come forward.
