A new report has found that Ireland is now among the countries in Europe worst hit by flu.

The European disease watchdog found the highest flu rates were recorded in Ireland, Norway, England and Denmark at the beginning of the month.

The age group worst affected in Ireland is the 15 to 64 age category, with younger children less affected here.
