Senator Shane Ross is to run in the upcoming General Election.

He made the announcement on RTÉ's 'Saturday Night Show with Brendan O' Connor' last night.

He will run in the South Dublin constituency, which elected George Lee in the previous by-election.

Paddy Power have installed Senator Ross as favourite to win a seat, offering odds of 1/4.
