HSE boosts stocks of flu jab

The HSE has ordered additional stocks of the flu jab.

Some 30,000 additional vaccines, which include protection against swine flu, are now in the process of being delivered.

Experts says cases of flu-like illnesses have been increasing in recent weeks - with 91 cases of swine flu detected in Christmas week alone.

People with flu-like symptoms have been urged to go to their GPs rather than to hospitals.
