Report: New voluntary redundancy scheme for public sector proposed
The Government may offer a new voluntary redundancy scheme to the public sector, according to a report today.
Junior Minister Dara Calleary has told the Irish Times that various departments will have new plans in place for the implementation of the Croke Park deal by the middle of next month.
And he says if they feel they have spare capacity - they can come up with proposals on voluntary redundancies.
The health service has already been offered such a scheme, but with limited success.
