Man dies on Wicklow road

A man in his forties has died after being hit by a car in Co Wicklow in the early hours of Christmas morning.

The pedestrian was struck at Coynes Cross on the N11 at 1.20am.

Diversions are in place southbound on the N11 as a result, through Newcastle and Rathnew.
