Father and son appear on murder charges in NI court

A father and son have appeared in court in the North charged in connection with the murder of a County Armagh farmer two years ago.

23-year-old Peter Joseph Maloney of Drumarg Park in Armagh was accused of beating Victor Stewart to death in October 2008.

He is also accused of stealing a safe from Mr. Stewart's isolated farmhouse near Middletown.

Maloney's 48-year-old father, also called Peter, from Drumarg Villas in Armagh, was charged with perverting the course of justice and withholding information.
