Airports and public transport operating, but with some delays

Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports are operating as normal this morning.

AA Roadwatch has warned that sleet and snow will have particularly affected routes in the south west and northern and north-west Ulster today.

Motorists were warned to put off any journeys until daylight as temperatures plummeted as low as -10C overnight.
