Picket planned at Athlone Laura Ashley store

A picket is being mounted outside the Laura Ashley store in Athlone, Co Westmeath.

Workers are showing support for colleagues at the Grafton Street shop in Dublin, who they say have been offered minimal redundancy terms with the closure of the branch.

MANDATE spokesmanJohn Carty said the action would be called off as soon as management agreed to enter "meaningful" negotiations at the Labour Relations Commission.
