Gardaí appeal for witnesses to Limerick stabbing

Gardaí in Limerick are appealing for witnesses after a stabbing in the city last night.

A man in his late twenties was stabbed in the upper body on Nicholas Street at around 10pm last night.

The area where the stabbing occurred has been sealed off pending a Garda examination of the scene by Henry Street Gardaí.

The injured man is being treated at the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, where his condition is described as stable.
