Property owners to challenge abolition of property reliefs
The Government's decision to abolish Section 23 property reliefs in the Budget is to be challenged.
The Irish Property Owners Association said the Government's removal of the incentive which it itself had introduced to encourage investment in properties is "bordering on criminal".
The IPOA said those who purchased Section 23 properties in good faith and paid their money are now facing "bankruptcy and ruin".
The group is urging landlords to stand united and fight the budgetary measure.
