Children's group claims Budget will increase child poverty

The Children’s Rights Alliance is "deeply disappointed" by the announcement in today’s Budget that the Child Benefit payment is to be cut.

The Finance Minister Brian Lenihan announced a cut in the benefit for each child by €10, with a double cut of €20 on families with three children.
