'Universal social charge' will rise to 7% of income

The Government has brought in a maximum 7% "Universal Social Charge" which will replace the income and health levies.

There will be nothing charged to those on incomes of less than €4,004, while those above that figure but on less than €10,036 will see a 2% charge.
