Workers urged to take part in 24-hour anti-austerity strike

Workers are being urged to sign up to a 24-hour strike in opposition to the cuts being announced in tomorrow's Budget.

The United Left Alliance - made up of a coalition of left wing groups and parties - has launched a petition urging the main trade unions to embark on a major campaign of industrial action.
