Two held after Dublin drugs seizure
Two men are in custody following a €250,000 drugs seizure in Dublin.
€250,000 worth of cannabis pollen was seized during the search of a warehouse in the Beaumont area last night.
Two men, aged 22 and 28, have been arrested and are being detained in Santry and Swords garda stations following a garda search of a warehouse in the Beaumont area of Dublin at around 8pm last night.
The search was carried out as part of an operation targetting organised crime in the northern Dublin division.
The intelligence-led operation was carried out by the Organised Crime Unit supported by the Garda National Drugs Unit and members from the northern Dublin division.
In the course of the search, gardaí seized what is believed to be 20kg of cannabis pollen with an estimated street value of €250,000.
The men are both being detained under the provisions of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
