Domestic abuse support group highlights demand for services

A support group for victims of domestic violence has said it had to turn women and children away from their refuges more than 2,000 times last year.

SAFE Ireland has released figures for 2009 and called on the Government to ring-fence HSE funding for domestic violence services in next week's Budget.
