Average Irish driver 'spends 18 days looking for parking'

The average Irish driver could spend in the region of 18 days searching for parking spaces during their lifetime, it was claimed today.

An AA Motor Insurance poll of more than 7,000 motorists reveals that drivers in Ireland spend an average of 12 minutes and 24 seconds hunting for parking each week.

Both Dublin and Cork motorists spend slightly longer parking their cars each week, averaging out at 12 minutes 30 seconds and 13 minutes and six seconds respectively.
