Woman in hospital after car crash in Ennis

A woman remains in a critical condition after being hit by a car in Co. Clare last night.

It happened on the Gort Road in Ennis at about 8pm.

The victim was brought to the Mid Western Regional Hospital in Limerick, where she has been fighting for her life overnight.

Gardaí at Ennis are investigating the incident.
