€100 per-house tax to come in next year

A site value tax has been introduced as part of the four-year plan with the stated aim of raising €530m by 2014.

The tax will come into effect next year, with a flat-rate of €100 charged per household, adding €180m to the State's coffers, with €175m to be generated in both 2013 and 2014.
