Garda injured in Limerick crash

A garda has been seriously injured following a car crash in Limerick.

The head on collision happened at around 5.20pm on the Old Cork Road.

The injured garda is a female member of the force. She has been taken to the Midwestern Regional Hospital.

The road has been sealed off and diversions are in place.
