Huston archive donated to NUI Galway
A rare collection belonging to one of the Hollywood's best directors has been handed over to NUI Galway.
John Huston's belongings include papers and recordings for the Oscar nominated movie 'The Dead' for which his son Tony received an Oscar nomination.
A new building at NUI Galway will house the memorabilia alongside the Huston Film School.
Huston had a special fondness for Ireland, setting up home at St Cleran's in Craughwell Co Galway in the 1950s.
His daughter Anjelica Huston, who grew up in Galway, has gone on to become one of the world's most famous actresses, starring in 'The Witches' and 'The Addams Family'.
