The funeral is taking place in Tipperary today of the young man who was killed in a car crash in New Zealand.

Twenty-three-year-old Leslie Armitage died when the land rover he was driving left the road at Poolburn on New Zealand's South Island on November 13.

He had been working as a farm hand in the area.

His funeral mass will be held at 2pm today at the Methodist Church in Cloughjordan.

Another Irishman - a 21-year-old - was also injured in the crash.
