Campaigning continues today among candidates in the Donegal South West by-election.

Six people are vying for the seat - which was vacated by Pat 'The Cope' Gallagher in June of last year.

The candidates are Fianna Fáil's Brian O'Domhnaill, Fine Gael's Barry O'Neill, Labour's Frank McBrearty, Independent candidates Thomas Pringle and Ann Sweeney, and Sinn Féin's Pearse Doherty.

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams will join Senator Doherty on the canvas trail today.
