TEEU to discuss protecting pay condition at conference

Protecting workers pay conditions in a tough economic climate will be discussed at the biennial conference of the TEEU, which is getting underway in Galway today.

The union represents around 45,000 members in some of the sectors hardest hit by the recession, including manufacturing, aviation and construction.

Frank Keoghan, General President of the TEEU, said: "Protecting pay and working conditions is difficult given the current economic situation."
