Cowen: We have not surrendered sovereignty

Taoiseach Brian Cowen today rubbished accusations that the Government had surrendered Ireland‘s sovereignty.

As the International Monetary Fund and European officials pore over the nation‘s books, Mr Cowen said the economy remains strong and sustainable.
