Man injured in Derry stabbing

A man in his 20s has been seriously injured in a knife attack in Derry city.

The victim suffered injuries to his throat and upper body in the incident at John's Street yesterday.

Another man was also wound but his injuries are not life threatening.

SDLP MLA Pat Ramsey said the stabbing happened not far from where thousands of people had gathered to watch the city's Christmas lights being switched on.
