Rain and winds batter several counties
High winds and heavy rain have battered the country overnight, resulting in dangerous driving conditions for motorists in many parts.
Gardaí are warning of flooding in several counties including Wicklow, Carlow and Cork.
Dublin has also been hit - there is flooding on the M50 southbound between the Sandyford and Leopardstown exits.
At one stage, cars were unable to pass some parts of the Naas and Long Mile roads. The local council has been informed.
