Gardaí renew appeal over missing Offaly youth

Gardai are renewing their appeal for information in locating a 17-year-old Offaly man who has been missing since the weekend.

Shane Gavin from Walsh Island has not been seen since Saturday night at around midnight, when he was at Portarlington Golf Club in Laois.

Around 200 people helped in the search for Mr Gavin yesterday.

He is described as being 6'1" and 13 stone with brown hair and tight haircut. Shane also wears glasses.

When last seen, he was wearing a blue and white striped t-shirt and blue denim jeans.
