Two men charged with attempted ATM raid

Two men from the North have appeared before a special sitting of Killorglin District Court in Kerry today charged in connection with a foiled ATM raid in Castleisland.

Christopher Murney (aged 24) of Chapel Hill Road, Mayobridge, Co Down and Thomas Wilson (aged 29) of Sea Patrick Villas, Banbridge Co Down have been charged with theft and causing criminal damage.

A third man, who was arrested in a follow-up operation in Listowel, was earlier released without charge from Tralee garda station.

A file will be sent to the Director of Public Prosecutions.
