Water supplies disrupted in north Dublin

Residents in parts of north inner city Dublin were today warned they face disruptions to their water supply.

Dublin City Council said essential work will result in reduced pressures and a loss of supply between 7.30am and midnight.

A number of mobile tankers will be available to provide assistance to elderly and vulnerable people.

A council spokesman said all efforts will be made to minimise disruption.

“Dublin City Council apologises for the inconvenience caused. With the public’s co-operation and understanding, we hope to keep the disruption to a minimum,” he added.

The areas likely to be affected are North Circular Road, Phibsborough Road, Berkeley Road and surrounding areas.
