Ministers to launch cross-border child protection initiative

The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Barry Andrews will join with his Northern counterpart Minister Michael McGimpsey to launch a cross-border child protection innovation today.

Known as THE HUB - the online database will bring together all published child protection information on a daily basis.

The resource will bring together research, policy and court judgements, news articles and other publications from the field of child protection.

It is the first child protection resource of its kind and has been established in partnership with a west Belfast company Childline Ltd.

It will be available to all child protection staff in the Republic and the North.
