Pair in custody in connection with discovery of suspicious device

Two men remain in Garda custody this morning after a suspicious device was found in Waterford yesterday.

The discovery was made by officers who stopped and searched a car on the Cork Road at Butlerstown.

The device is being technically examined to assess whether it was viable.
