Fifteen people remain in garda custody this morning, following a massive operation targetting the activities of an organised crime gang based in Dublin's North inner City.

Fifteen people remain in garda custody this morning, following a massive operation targeting the activities of an organised crime gang based in Dublin's North inner City.

The arrests were made during a series of dawn raids in Dublin, Cork, Wexford, Cavan and Kildare yesterday morning.

Two people arrested have since been released but yesterday afternoon, as part of the same operation, gardaí made another two arrests in Cork.

The 40-year-old man and 32-year-old woman were arrested after officers stopped a car on the South Ring Road in the City and found cannabis with a street value of €200,000.
